In bloom

The golden pothos plant loves medium to low indirect light, so placing it near an eastern or

northern light source would be ideal.

place me on the crimson hexagon on the carpet in ms. wong’s

classroom, we wonder why slippery sticky geckos grasp onto

our tender skin, a tired bunny named marbles whom we love dearly

(but will pass away in three years’ time) sits under an eastern or

northern light source, i write at my desk about why my favorite

season is spring and ms. wong’s tender hands rest on my shoulder as

she tells me i spelled “rain” wrong ⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯ spring comes reins

fall pillows of incense smoke rise and form hovering letters that spell

out my unfolding future, i don’t know it yet but the smell of freshly-wet

cracked concrete and thick precipitation in the air refill my vase,

i can inhale exhale deeply again and at 7:45am i will wake up

amidst ferns flowering over my face and i will walk to ms. wong’s

warm class in this wet and lazy medium to low indirect light
